Large/Extra Large females are the biggest female crabs that we offer and they are sold as a mix of large and extra large females! Female crab eaters will argue that the meat is sweeter than that of the male crab. The female crabs also differ from males due to their potential egg (roe) content depending on the life cycle of the crab. Female crabs with eggs are not always available, so we recommend that you please call with questions regarding their egg content if this is a “must have”!
